Where to go shopping in Milan in Italy

The “Quadrilatero d'Oro” of Fashion in Milan

Milan is one of the world's fashion capitals and, as it should be, the streets of Milan are teeming with designer shops and all the major brands.

The preferred place, in every sense of the word, to see the latest collections is the “Quadrilatero d'Oro”, where you can, as the name suggests, spend a fortune on precious clothing and accessories.

All the major Italian brands are present, as well as designers with clothes that range from the most classic to the most eccentric.

This “Golden Quadrilateral” is bounded by Monte Napoleone, Gesù, Spiga and Sant' Andrea streets and is about 200 meters behind Piazza San Babila.

You can, therefore, access it by metro line 3, Montenapoleone station, or line 1, Babila station, or leave there once you have emptied your wallet and can no longer afford the taxi!

The “Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II” in Milan

The Vittorio Emanuele II covered gallery connects Milan's Duomo Square with that of La Scala in Milan and forms a cross with Via Grossi.

You have the impression of entering a vast glass greenhouse 47 meters high!

The gallery is shaped like a Latin cross, and its walls are covered with mosaics representing science, agriculture, the four continents, art and industry, and the 12 zodiac signs.

As it should be in such a beautiful and prestigious location, the sides of the gallery are occupied by luxury shops, cafes, and restaurants.
